Sometimes while I'm waiting for a negative to dry, I take a quick digital picture of the neg and invert it. It gives a vague idea of how the photo has turned out. In this case - it looks pretty good as an image in its own right.
The film sheet is hanging from a peg (upside down here) and a white board is held behind to give some light. The board was not well lined up - hence the diagonal in this image.
Initial image is an intentional double exposure, Helen stepped out of the picture after the first 1 second exposure, and I re-cocked the shutter and exposed the film for one more second. Aperture was f/8.
Original photo taken with Shenhao 4x5 camera, Rodenstock Apo-Sironar N 210mm 1:5.6 lens
Fuji Acros 100 film, 2x1 seconds f/8.
Processed in a rotary tank using 1+1 D-76 - 13½ minutes at 20ºC.
Wet negative photographed while hanging to dry, with Leica D-Lux 3. Image inverted in Photoshop.
