I tried to get a picture of this fine gentlemean earlier and failed. Suddenly there he was and I shot this from the hip. With the superfast film I was using and the aperture set on f/22, the Skopar 25 gave me enough depth of field that I didn't need to focus.

I'd say that these are the settings that work for this kind of candid photography. There really isn't enough time to fiddle with a focusing ring.
Mind you I've been using a setting any where from 5 to 10 metres and f8 as my zone. Sometimes things work out, sometimes not.
