I like the presence of the camera in this. My first camera in the 60's was a Nikkormat. I bought this Nikomat in the 90's and later gave it to Nikh.
HP5+ was exposed at 400ISO, tray developed in LC29 1+29 for 9 minutes at 20ºC.

It's not the presence of the camera that makes this a great shot. It's not that at all - it's you, you and Nikhi. It's a remarkably warm and human portrait of people having a comfortable moment together. That moment happened to include a camera, and that's a nice detail, but that's all it is. I think a lot of people seeing this picture feel at least a little bit honored and better off for being able to share that moment as well, even if only vicariously.
