Helene Barclay recently put up one of those brave pictures of then and now, showing how her presentation has evolved and improved over 10 years. From time to time, I've also thought about posting something similar, but vanity has gotten the better of me. Well, in the last couple of years I've gained a level of self-confidence that even allows me to present in princess (!) mode, so it seems mean not to let you have a giggle at what I thought was a good picture from my second-ever makeover at Barbara's in comparison to one of my newest pictures.

Most of my clothes in 2002 were rather dowdy , but I actually kept this top and skirt for some years. The sandals I still have! 30d Black stockings (to hide hairy legs) have been replaced by 7d Barely Black. My bosom has grown since then ...

Make up has changed (Grimas foundation then, MAC now) and become lighter as the mask hiding me has been replaced by adornment to better show me.

The thing is that in the last 10 years age has taken its toll on my skin, both texturally and evenness of tone, and my body weight and shape are now less than sylph-like, but that doesn't matter that much.

Thanks, Helene, for the inspiration.
