The General Idea.

The General Idea.
Fresh from college, I was an aspiring young artist, with a B.A. (in Business Administration...lol), in my pocket, just to please my mother.

I met and fell in love with Jorge Zontel, an architect from Caracas, now in Toronto, and a member of the new Canadian Arts Collective, called the General Idea.

I met the group, and was immediately brought on board by Michael Tims (AA Bronson), (with whom Jorge and I also had a tiny affair).

As an associate, and I primarily worked with Jorge on File magazine.

This is one of the first times I have ever spoken of my association with the group.

I was active there for 1970 - 1972. It was the creative atmosphere that enthralled me.

Throughout this period, I was full time employee of Revenue Canada, (lol), (I worked just around the corner from their studio), and was a budding costume designer and military couturier with Sheldon Kasman.
