Bluebird of happiness

Collage is made of two edited photos containing quail tracks. The local "herd" gets bigger every year. There are wide, curving swathes of quail tracks in the snow, now that we've had a little bit of it. There are almost no cats around anymore, most have died since I moved here 10 years ago. One remaining holdout is now about 16-18 years old and too fat to run after quail or jump for any other kind of bird.
