Good old Winnemucca, Nevada. Hot, dusty, boring, flat, boring, beige, boring...but you can order a tuna melt at a greasy spoon and play their slot machines.

Oh yes! I remember Winnemucca! It's somewhere between Salt Lake City and Reno. I drove by there some time in the 90's. I have no memories of the place, but only of the funny name :-)
But it's astonishing that's indicated already up here in Oregon! It must have some kind of strategic traffic significance.

My memories are few, even though I've been through the city several times. It's probably on the sign here because it's at the end of the same highway (140). Kind of amusing, because I don't think Winnemucca would actually be the destination for anyone in Klamath Falls. (And vice versa!)

When coming from north in Winnemucca you have to decide whether you want to go left (Salt Lake City) or right (Reno). So you have 300 miles of time to think about that. :)

Wouldn't be great if life was always like that?

Often it is we ourselves who build up this pressure of a more complicated life. :)

That is the beauty of retirement. I no longer have complications or drama. I also retired from all of that!
