Ordering hamburgers at the Polar Bear

Ordering hamburgers at the Polar Bear
My grandson has his Driver's Learning Permit. I have been his teacher for several trips around town, but today we went to a nearby little town called Merrill. He did a great job handling a few minor surprises on the road, which is a crucial part of learning to drive.

kiiti, Rosalyn Hilborne, Andy Rodker, Heidiho and 6 other people have particularly liked this photo

Excellent shot! I can remember teaching my brother to drive. I mentioned this once to my (Spanish) girlfriend and she said, ¨I didn't know you were once a driving instructor!¨
And I didn't know till then that you had to have lessons with an approved driving school to get your licence in Spain!

Thank you! I think it's like that in other countries, so it's a good business for some people. The rest of us are very casual about learning to drive. The rules have tightened up a little bit, here. Kids can no longer have other minors in their cars until they've been a licensed driver for a year, then there's a limit to the number of passengers they can have. They cannot have a phone in their hands at any time they are driving...etc.

I mostly just get to sit there. He's a natural at driving and I didn't have to really give him much guidance. Yes, he's thrilled. We're going driving again this weekend. ;-)
