Rumor has it that he is spending very little time in London for that reason, plus the potential for heckling, marching, throwing of tomatoes and mocking with naked Donald costumes. He also knows the Queen can't stand him, which he will lie about (as he has about Angela...they have a "great relationship!").

Yes, I would like to think that I would have spotted that too.
I always look out for this kind of nonsense; advertisers stating everything and nothing. And because I often see it, and rail against it, I sometimes think I might have been quite good at it.
But I'm probably just deluding myself.
Anyway, I digress: this is certainly a bright and cheerful photo, with just a hint of cheese.

Sometimes it's hilarious sometimes I just groan. The "perfect for snacking and entertaining" (OH, I'm glad you told me!) is akin to what we see on a lot of our food products, like crackers. There will be a photo with the crackers topped by cheese, an olive, smoked salmon, etc. Underneath, it says "Serving suggestion." There are several layers of ridiculousness in that. But, NOTHING beats the now-popular "Guten Free!" on everything from water to dried apricots to coffee beans. It's probably on new cars, too. That is where my inner vandal wants to act, but I remember the part about jail. ;-o

The gluten-free nonsense is worldwide, Diane.
Now, I'm not disparaging those that have a serious issue with Coeliac's disease. But it has became a 'fashion' among people who have no need of a gluten-free diet.

Yes, along with many other "allergies." My grandchildren were forbidden so many things with no evidence of actual allergies (incl. gluten) that I gave up and just served them whatever I had. Our deal was "whatever happens at grandma's stays at grandma's." Not once in all these years has anyone gotten sick, had convulsions or broken out in flaming boils from eating wheat, dairy or a popsicle at my house. A couple of times I even gave them root beer...nobody died! ;-o

My neighbours have just come back from Finland and they bought me some cheese....I have yet to try it!! I think the orange one is coming to London and the unfortunate Queen is obliged to wine and dine him in Windsor Castle. I have a feeling there may be protests!!!

Oooh, there WILL be protests. It's the mocking that really gets to him, and you guys are really good at that. Yes, poor Queen, she must think, "At my age, I have to put up with this nasty creep?" Lol! And, you know he'll do something sickening, stupid, or insulting...most likely all three, and the old girl is pretty good at a smack-down, too. ;-b

A funny picture I saw was the Queen walking down the corridor of Buckingham Palace with James Bond, and in a speech bubble she says "Make it look like an accident 007!"

Finlandian Tilsit – interesting mixture! Originally it was created in the mid-19th century by Prussian-Swiss settlers in East Prussia.
In Switzerland we know mainly two sorts of: the blue (label) is the mild one and the red is the more spicy one. I prefer the red one.
Yes, you're right: Kraft cheese in slices is like eating a rubber bearing for washing machine motors ;-)

That is interesting, poly, I think cheeses travel a lot over time. I'm happy to know I have the more spicy one! Yes, Kraft American cheese is VERY 1950s and like slimy rubber.

Oh, I don't know if the colour labels in other countries are the same, but I hope it for you :)
If you like spicy and aromatic hard cheese you need to buy Gruyère cheese. It is also available in different stages. But I don't know if you can get it in US.
And there of course is the famous Emmental cheese with the holes in it, but I like Gruyère more.

There is every kind of cheese in the US. So far, no tariffs on cheese - ha! In small cities like mine there is a smaller variety of them, but I know I've seen Gruyère and Emmental (which I have eaten). I eat just what I can afford.

My consumption of meat has decreased a lot in recent years, so I can allow more cheese. Cheese is my meat substitute. And fortunately we have a great variety of them. I'm the typical Swiss, exactly according to the stereotype. ;-)

Lol! The stereotype is an all-cheese meal and I know there is at least one all-cheese restaurant. I saw it on tv!

Oh, the cliché of all clichés of course is the => Fondue! :-)
But I have to say I like it too. Especially in cold winter nights. Well, not every day but 3 or 4 times during the winter :-)
