Yes, I guess so. I don't know anything about electric cars or the charging stations. I think it takes a long time to charge.

Do they do mobile phones as well?

These things are few and far between in this country at the moment!

If not, they should! I was honestly surprised to see this big installation (about 10) at a local grocery store. Big cities have a lot more places like this. I doubt there are many electric cars here, but what do I know? Planning ahead, I guess.

Not having the efficient loading support for his car, Musk shot it up into space!

It seems so! Unfortunately, my 17 year old car has no need for them. ;-/
Thank you, Peter!

I have never knowingly seen these either in Spain or the UK. I didn't know what they were until I started to read the comments! My last car was a 1997 model (it came with inbuilt cassette player!) and it expired due to Cornish coastal conditions (namely rust) in about 2011. I drive my girlfriend's car from time to time but that is quite old. When I need to hire a car in the UK I have to try and find the oldest and simplest version otherwise I am all at sea! I recall a hire car where I couldn't find how to turn the key for the ignition. I had to go back to the office and it was explained to me that key = ignition was rather old hat. I had never heard of such a thing and I could sense the hire car Johnnie stifling his laughter under his breath! On the same trip, the wind-screen wipers turned on automatically at the first drop of rain and I nearly crashed the car in shock!
I used to enjoy driving but I'm not sure I would like it so much now!
But yes, unused as they are, a damned fine notion! Will it catch on, do you think?

Yes, in more progressive areas where people care about carbon emissions AND have enough money for a new car. I can't imagine Klamath Falls becoming wildly interested in the environment, though buying a new car (or massive truck) seems fairly common. The latter event does not include yours truly. I would not mind learning new car technology at all, but won't get the opportunity. Whenever I have a new passenger, he/she is amazed by my manual window openers, which apparently many people now find too taxing. Same goes for my standard radio. No disc player or snazzy speakers. Primitive!

Come to think of it, the fat-head will probably ban all types of fuel except gasoline and diesel, because, you know, it's much better for the big oil corporations that give him money. Anyway, there is no such thing as carbon emissions. Hoax!

Ah, that's how this stations they look like! I've read recently the biography of Elon Musk, the inventor of TESLA (and SPACEX). Really a visionary guy; but also crazy a bit, I think.
The really astonishing fact is, that the Tesla drivers charge their cars for free here! Until now.

He does give a slightly crazy vibe, I agree. Like a mad scientist, not like a real psycho. I don't know how those work, whether people are supposed to pay, or whatever. I have never seen a car there.

Toying with the idea of buying an electric car a while back, I checked on the availability of charging stations. There was one station at the Nissan dealer about 25 miles away, and a few in the state capital 125 miles away. Didn't buy an electric car.

Whoa, somewhat inconvenient, huh? Seems to me they would only be in big cites for now, and Klamath Falls isn't one of them.

Just read an article in the newspaper that Tesla is going to build drive-in restaurants where you can sit in your car eating your hamburger and "french" fries while your battery gets charged.

That's a great idea! Like a truck stop, but not.
