This last series you have posted shows a lot of sad and desolate places....always a bit sad to see the death of dreams and hopes....

Yes, it is, though I see it so much that I'm used to it. I have to say that I was really depressed when I moved back here after 50 years! But, when I started taking pictures, which I hadn't done much before, I started appreciating the strange beauty of dereliction and a barren landscape. As for the people, well, some found other things to do, others simply moved away where there are better jobs.
