What a find! One Fruehauf ancestor must have immigrated from a German speaking country...

Yes, that is a famous brand here. There are millions of German immigrants' descendants in the US. Klamath County has a lot of German families who have been here since the mid-1800s and became very successful with farming and cattle ranching. The biggest immigrant group in the US was German, but that has probably changed by now.

Here is another interesting fact: there was a WWII prisoner of war camp in the area with German and Japanese soldiers. They were all sent home after the war was over.
