Open Range

Open Range
On Hwy 66 near Keno, Oregon. For those who don't know, the word "range" in the USA can be either an oven like this or unfenced cattle land. (It can be other things, too...) This is in front of a B&B - up hill to the right.

Close by is a bead & breakfast lodge, so I am guessing they got a new stove and didn't want this one to go to waste.

.. we must tell Pam J that this is 'cooking out' -- not grilling and most certainly not BBQ ... or, we could just go along with "Free Range''

.. energy source - -- now, there is a problem ~

Ah, I wonder if they've thought of that! Perhaps a long extension cord...or solar power.

OK! You bring a 200 ft. extension cord, there's a B&B up the hill.

Yep, they did. And someone told me it's still there - this photo was taken in about 2009, I think. I should drive up there again for an update shot. It's probably considerably worse for wear! Thanks, raingirl.

HAHA! True! I wonder if any small animals have hidden out in there during big storms.
