US Cars & Bikes

1973 in San Jose, California

1973 in San Jose, California

My twin brothers on their Indians, which they had bought in Iran (while working) and shipped home. Those bikes were all they cared about, then, and they turned heads wherever they went. Maybe it was the deafening roar...anyway, the one on the left is on the Ducati in the previous photo.

Can't remember years, exactly, but the one on the left is around 1946, the other about 1937.

Martin Korth, Kostas Papantoniou, Les's Photography AKA aligeeach, Peter Van Lom and 10 other people have particularly liked this photo

They don't have them any more!!! What a shame, I bet they are kicking themselves.

Oh yes, I'm sure they are. But, when you're young, broke and have to sell something, you sell it!

Wonderful capture! But the helmet in the rear looks quite modern!

Thank you, poly. I thought that, too. I guess there are still a some of those basic helmets sold.

Ha! Welcome to the club, Gudrun. By the way, these guys are now 62 and would probably have a hard time wrestling an Indian cycle around on a mountain road. (Don't tell them I said that!) Thanks for the star!

My type of guys. At that time I was steeling the moped of my mother and drove through the streets. I still am riding a bike, so is my son. That is one thing that connects us..

Yes, all three brothers are younger than I am. The two in this photo still ride motorcycles.I didn't know Indians are being made in Quebec!

Léopold has replied to Diane Putnam
Not sure if they are made in Quebec but Motos Illimités located nearby Montréal sell some since all recently.
