Jesus in Jerusalem

Jesus in Jerusalem
Around Easter on the way of the cross (via dolorosa) in the Old City of Jerusalem, you will occasionally find groups re-enacting the cross bearing. This particular group had severe Roman guards whipping the Jesus figure. The watching crowd became excited because they were not sure if the situation was under control. The person playing the Jesus part did not seem really injured but it looked extremely bloody, ... good it is black and white.

Picture was taken by pre-focusing and holding the camera high over the crowd. I had a couple of missed shots with heads and hands in front of the lens.

I will add more pics about relgion and Jerusalem as I scan them.
