A fabulous shot. I have no idea where Llanes is but with the double ll and because you are Spanish, I guess this is somewhere in Spain!

Llanes es una población asturiana, de la zona oriental, al este de Gijón. La localizo geográficamente, perdón por no haberlo hecho antes.

It looks nice. Nicer than Santander, which everyone said I would like but I didn't like at all. It reminded me of too many English retirement coastal resorts of a certain boring kind! The architecture generally was of a particular nondescript English style from the 20s and 30s. I couldn't see why all my Spanish friends thought it was fabulous! Different to the usual Spanish style I guess! (Sorry to all from Santander; I was probably having an off day!)

Llanes no te defraudará, tiene un núcleo histórico precioso y muy cuidado sin alterar su esencia. Tiene aún resto de murallas y su entorno natural ves maravilloso entre una costa con acantilados y calas arenosas y las montañas ahí a la espalda, muy cerca del mar. Para mí Asturias entera es un paraíso, a pocos km tienes poblaciones preciosas, Ribadesella, Niembru, etc y el fenómeno de los bufones en Pria, agua saliendo a presión entre las grietas de las rocas cuando hay tormenta, espectacular. Si puedes, vete, te gustará.

I was a bit hard on Santander! I loved the rest of Cantabria whan I visited. I haven't visited Asturias yet, but want to explore the Picos de Europa , Cangas de Onis, etc etc. So much to see.

Llanes es una joya. Vamos mucho y hemos visto el cambio de la población en estos años. Ha mejorado el cuidado del núcleo histórico, es peor el enorme aluvión de turistas. Pero desde que estoy jubilada podemos ir en épocas tranquilas.
