➽ Das stillgelegte Kernkraftwerk Gundremmingen war zuletzt mit einer elektrischen Bruttoleistung von 1344 MW (Block C) das ehemals leistungsstärkste Kernkraftwerk in Deutschland und das ehemals letzte deutsche Kernkraftwerk, das noch mehr als einen Reaktor in Betrieb hatte. Block B wurde gemäß dem Atomgesetz (§ 7) von 2011 am 31. Dezember 2017 abgeschaltet; Block C folgte am 31. Unit B was shut down on December 31, 2017 in accordance with the Atomic Energy Act (Section 7) of 2011; Block C followed on December 31, 2021.

➽ 4. Dezember: Barbaratag ❀ ❀ ❀ Je nach Gegend und Brauchtum werden Kirsch-, Apfel-, Birken-, Haselnuss-, Rosskastanien-, Pflaumen-, Holunder-, Rotdorn- oder Forsythienzweige verwendet. Sie sollen bis zum Heiligen Abend blühen und in der kalten und düsteren Winterzeit zum Weihnachtsfest Schmuck in die Wohnung bringen. Der Brauch geht auf die Legende von der Heiligen Barbara zurück, nach der sie auf dem Weg in das Gefängnis mit ihrem Gewand an einem Zweig hängenblieb. Sie stellte den abgebrochenen Zweig in ein Gefäß mit Wasser und er blühte genau an dem Tag, an dem sie zum Tode verurteilt wurde. Nach regionalem Volksglauben bringt das Aufblühen der Barbarazweige Glück im kommenden Jahr. Teilweise ist es Brauch, dass die jungen Mädchen jedem einzelnen Zweig den Namen eines Verehrers zuweisen. Der Zweig, der zuerst blüht, soll auf den zukünftigen Bräutigam hinweisen. ➽ Fragile ♫ ♪ ♪ ♫ ♩ ♬ ___________________________________________ ➽ Fragiles Leben, Skulptur der lokalen Künstlerin Marianna Haas an der Wertach Spazieren gehen und dabei Kunst entdecken, die Idee des Projekts WertArt wurde vergangenes Jahr im Corona-Sommer geboren und fand heuer nun zum 2. Mal statt. In der kulturarmen Zeit sollte die Kunst zu den Leuten gebracht werden. Als Ort für die Ausstellung wurde der Spazierweg an der Wertach auserkoren und an insgesamt 20 Stationen konnte man die Werke betrachten. ___________________________________________ ➽ Fragile life, sculpture by the local artist Marianna Haas at the River Wertach Going for a walk and discovering art in the process, the idea of the WertArt project was born in the Corona summer last year and took place for the second time this year. ➽ Blick auf den Rathausplatz vom Rathaus aus: Der ungefähr 80 x 80 m große Platz liegt im Herzen von Augsburg und hat eine unregelmäßige Form, die einem Viertelkreis ähnelt. ​Anfangs war der Platz erheblich kleiner und beschränkte sich auf den nördlichen Flächenteil des heutigen Platzes. Dort befanden sich im Mittelalter Verkaufsstände für Butter, Geflügel und Eier. Aus diesem Grund trug der Platz zuerst den Namen Eiermarkt. Von 1588 bis 1594 lies die Stadt in der Mitte des Eiermarktes den Augustusbrunnen errichten. Auf dem südlichen Teil des heutigen Rathausplatzes befanden sich ursprünglich etwa ein halbes Dutzend Gebäude, die während der Bombennacht 1944 schwer getroffen wurden und ausbrannten. Anfang der 1960er Jahre sollte der Platz neu bebaut werden, die Bürger waren jedoch von der freien Sicht auf das Rathaus und den Perlachturm (siehe klickbares PiP) so begeistert, dass sie gegen die Bebauung protestierten. So entstand der Rathausplatz in seiner heutigen From und Größe und wurde 1974 von Ludwigsplatz in Rathausplatz umbenannt. On the southern part of today's "Rathausplatz" (Townhall square) there were originally around half a dozen buildings that were badly hit and burned out during the night of the bombing in 1944. At the beginning of the 1960s, the square was to be rebuilt, but the citizens were so enthusiastic about the unobstructed view of the town hall and the Perlach tower (see clickable PiP) that they protested against the development. This is how the Rathausplatz was created in its current shape and size and was renamed in 1974 from "Ludwigsplatz" (named after the Bavarian King Ludwig I) to "Rathausplatz". ➽ Kloster - Hospital - Altenheim/KiTa Klosterhof mit Laubengang/Kreuzgang des ehemaligen Dominikanerinnenklosters St. Margaret. Jedes Jahr im Juni wurde dort der Wollmarkt abgehalten, daher auch der heutige Name des Platzes. Das Kloster der Dominikanerinnen in Augsburg wurde mit Hilfe einer Stiftung im 13. Jahrhundert gegründet. Im Jahre 1538 wurde das Dominikanerinnenkloster wegen zu geringer Einkünfte vom Stadtrat aufgelöst. Es ging vorübergehend in den Besitz des Heilig-Geist-Spitals über. Quelle: Augsburg-Wiki Heute befindet sich dort das Paritätische Hospitalstift St. Margaret, ein modernes Seniorenzentrum und Altenheim. Weiterhin sind in den Räumen des ehemaligen Klosters eine Kindertagesstätte und eine Werkstatt der benachbarten Augsburger Puppenkiste untergebracht. Every year in June there was held the wool market, hence the current name of the place. The Dominican convent in Augsburg was established in the 13th century by means of a foundation. The convent was disbanded by the city council due to low income. It went temporarily into the possession of the Holy Spirit Hospital.
