It looks so beautiful Herb. I have noticed a lot of knitted poppies around here. The lychgate is also beautiful along with the decorated tubs either side.

H Rosa, like you I have see the popularity of these crochet-knitting poppies too as no doubt they are reusable for some years. There were in fact many more poppies, strung out in long garlands along the old stone approach walls too. Yes this lychgate is most beautiful and I have seen a few new brides having their photograph taken in front of it.

Until recently I could see this hill-top church from our lounge but nearby trees now prevent that.

This is really very beautiful Herb............I particularly like the display of poppies on and around the entrance. It's a wonderful sight to see as you approach the church.

Thanks Keith. A few spots of rain before and after getting up here which is exactly half way around our walk and give us the chance of a breather on its sheltered bench by the entrance. As you know, this is not my usual run of photo subjects but I found the sight both moving and beautiful so could not resist. Glad you liked it.

A very nice picture, which conveys the sentiments of the day.
I like the idea of re-usable poppies. Many people round our way have managed to find plenty of other re-usable items too.
Despite the lockdown, there was no shortage of wreaths on the war memorial..
