Coming from high up behind me here, we tend to follow the metal fenced path up the river. Going across the bridge and left gives us the same chance of following the river up on the other bank or climbing out of the valley across fields upwards. Turning right over the bridge takes us down-stream. Simple!

The light coming through the trees and the dappled shadows on the pathways is really lovely. I like the fences, especially the wooden one. I find myself wondering where the pathways lead to and wish I could explore. A beautiful and atmospheric image Herb.

Hi Keith, glad you like this one. Yes a wonderful walk through this dappled light with the earthy smell of the river. As said to Toz: Coming from high up behind me here, we tend to follow the metal fenced path up the river. Hi Peter and I can well understand your thoughts here. this used to be a very lonely and natural spot with only the metal fenced path available and that went only a few yards. Since this was made into a parkway walk a few years back, there are loads of people on here all the time. Ah well it gives other folk besides myself, who has always been quite adventurous, a chance to share these places too.

I don't know that either Rosa. It is actually between Springhead and Grotton. Springhead is far easier to think where the name came from. A great spot for sure, quite different I think form your grand views. Glad you enjoyed it for sure.

Glad you like this one Peter. Yes, this scene is very pretty but in fact it is all under threat as they want to build a housing estate over all this. The mind boggles but knowing our present national and local government they will rip all this up and have a main road here instead.
