Alexandra Park Fence

Here in my home town of Oldham, UK, we have a splendid public park. There are quite a few fences in there but this one recently caught my attention as it has just been completely re-furbished. An old Edwardian style wrought iron fence with a brand new coat of paint makes it a pleasure to view.
(All right then, I know some people would describe this as a bridge railing but hey….it does carry on after the bridge…I think!)

Thanks John, my biggest suprise on here was not that railings were classed as fences, as I always supposed they were a fence of type but stone walls too. As Gudrun says, here on HFF 'anything goes'. Good that you enjoyed this

Yes Joe, the lighting caught my eye as much as the fence here. I have often seen this fence from the top but it was normally rusting away. Good to see such thing being renewed. Glad you liked it.

Point taken my friend. Nope it is simply a little bridge with a track both over and under, mainly for show. Mind you an old railway line did pass only a few hundred yards from here. Glad you liked it.
