Eagle Nebula M16

Eagle Nebula M16
This is a second go at this target but rains are killing any more nights worth of shots.

In the very center of the nebula there looks to be a dog sitting on it hind legs begging these are called the "Pillars of Creation" sadly this is a close as I can go. In the shot of the Milky way This is second red dot from the left side.

I love to look into the summer night sky and imagine those extraordinary worlds calling me from there. Obviously with my naked eyes I cannot see all those wonders so thank you very much for bringing them to me and other sky-watchers. Your shots are so beautiful.

Thank you Marta it is a way of shooting photo that takes some getting use to so it is not for every body thats for sure. I am glad that others enjoy the shots as well which is why I post on here not many others get the chance at being able to do so Ko Hummel is the only other person I know of here on Ipernity. not quite up to James Webb but still brining alive the milky way.

Its a shame I dont get any more nights I am looking at clouds and rain for over a week so my last for a while. this view was rotated so that the wings sat squarely across the shot sadly at the moment it the extent of my reach for the moment. The head of the Pillar of creation is the shot that has been chosen for the Fits files so I have quite a bit on the computer. glad that you like the shot.

At least we are able to bring these alive on Ipernity so other can enjoy as well. Many thanks I hope you are getting some clear skies nothing but rain and clouds nothing in the for see able future for me.

Peter it sure is and not for every body I am a little Lucky here in Australia dark skies and MOSTLY cloudless skies to get these. I have always been interested in this as I grew up as a kid with my fathers books and his try's to take milky way photos on film. kind of influenced me to get out and take photos of the milky way.

The Bow

Milky Way Core

On impending retirement I thought deep space would keep me busy, thinking, challenged and always doing some thing. I was not wrong but two years down almost it has been some of the most trying thing I have tried the learing curve is starting to flatten. I am happy with the images I can get from my back yard in the city of Perth , that's what you see above. This is in part why I share as well so others can see a little bit more than just our normal photos.

Many thanks for your comment Makes all the work put in worth while.

I have to say the taking photos part is easy the computer part is the head ache. Just to add to that I have started on installing a Nuc computer to run the system. Nuc is a very small computer mine is the size of my mobile phone but 1/3 the weight. The idea is less wires go to the top as the Nuc is mounted under the scope up top = better guiding, No screen just a computer. I have to use the net work cable to see inside the house on my desk top. So far 3 after noons getting things all set up out the back on the large outside table wire and equipment every where to get thing "found " by the computer program. Thankfully its wet and rainy. next fine night is going to be very interesting.....

Many thanks for some thing I have always wanted to do but never dreamed it would happen , but here it all is just as I dreamed. My fathers Time Life Books started this all off.

I like this picture very much!
As always, you have made a spectacular job of this photo.

many thanks Peter I can only keep going learning I do know that at some stage I will have to go bigger scope to get deeper into space more learning but it opens up a world further. more than happy to share this learning and results I know very few here have ever tried this.

comments like these make the up hill battle with the computer seem worth while.
