The centre of this ancient site is formed by a square with parks, a Renaissance town hall dating back to 1521 and a late 18th-century farmstead with a žudro, a special kind of porch. Visitors to Dřevohostice will be attracted to the local 16th-century, four-wing Renaissance chateau with a well-preserved front settlement and a water-filled moat, as well as by the late Baroque Church of St Gallus dating from the 18th century. The Dřevohostice of today is known especially for its endeavour to maintain folk traditions. The community's most important cultural event is the annual Meeting of Brass Bands held in July.
