Great blue herons & wood storks

Great blue herons & wood storks
On this day there were fewer storks and more herons than two days ago. They eat catfish from these ponds.

Annemarie, Doerthe, Misou 49 and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

So sad you saw only one bird, Jocelyne. Is this island usually a good place to see birds?

Yes, it is true, micritter. Much of Mississippi is quite wild, but these birds are taking advantage of the catfish farm.

What a wonderful sight. So many birds and I find myself lucky if I see one blue heron.

As of yesterday, there were no storks, but still many herons scattered around these ponds.
