On the go locally.

On the go locally.
It seems that we are now going into another lockdown so local photos will be the order of the day. Today I went for a local walk and found several different fungi, and this little creature which I'm sure someone will be able to identify.

I've done some research and the closest I've come up with so far is that this is an example of a Buff Ermine moth. www.naturespot.org.uk/species/buff-ermine

Mexican wave

Gudrun, Ruebenkraut, Ste, Ronald Losure and 18 other people have particularly liked this photo

Yes it's similar but this one doesn't have the pale stripes along the body.

I thought Moth from the Thumbnail Amelia but that is far as I can go with ID. Yup! from Thursday on my uploads they will be numbered "Lockdown day nn". I am unclear on how much movement we are allowed hopefully the local park and riverside areas will be ok.

Nicely capture Amelia, I have no idea what it is, an indication how mild it is to be moving this time of the year. You can add some more No's to the November poem by Thomas Hood !!

A lovely capture. It seems late to be on the move but lovely to see. Sorry about the lockdown news. It is depressing. Scotland may not escape for long. Take care.

All I can tell you is that it is a hairy caterpillar, but that isn't much help I'm sure. :-)

You caught this in perfect detail! I guess a close encounter wouldn't be advisable for allergy sufferers...;-)
