Harvesting story

Harvesting story
Today's Saturday Self Challenge is: Tell a story creating a collage that uses 2, 3 or 4 images.

One combiner and thee tractors with trailers harvest a wheat field.
The first photo is near the beginning of the harvesting.
The second photo shows trailer that is nearly full.
The third photo shows a replacement trailer at the ready to take over.
The fourth photo shows a tractor and trailer near the end of the harvest.

The whole process was seamlessly completed as we watched from various places around the field.

Cämmerer zu Nau, Nouchetdu38, Fred Fouarge, Marco F. Delminho and 31 other people have particularly liked this photo

Doesn't seem possible, Harvest already it only seems a couple of weeks ago the fields were full of springtime rape seed in full yellow bloom.

I've been looking at the fields and thinking harvesting is near. We are a bit later than you. It seems like yesterday I was photographing newly ploughed fields and the first green shoots. You've captured the whole process beautifully. Soon I'll be walking through stubble fields.

bien réalisé. Je me demande de quelles plantes il s' agit. Il me semble que c 'est du blé , mais les épis ne semblent pas mûrs....

I think it's wheat too, but the whole crop was harvested without the ears and the stems being separated. We think it might have been taken to a digester to produce biogas or animal feed-stuff.

I love seeing these challenges and what different people make from them. You've done a very good job here Amelia and it looks like the farmer did too.

That crop is very green. Our crops have to be very dry before harvest.

This a collage with a narrative, Amelia. Each quadrant encapsulates perfectly a stage in the harvesting process. Very enlightening to a townie like me. All the best, Joe

Fascinating! I've never actually seen a wheat harvest in process before. So cool to see it here.

Makes me wonder at the time from before mechanical harvesting. Some inventions are for the good!
