Over the last several decades, society and modern day science has been trying to tell us that many raw and mildly process foods, like eggs, milk, butter, raw wheat, meat, and coconut oil are "bad" for us. As the years have gone by, we've been told that it's healthier to replace these foods with processed foods, like vegetable based oils, margarine, enriched flour, and soybean products.

But it's not just processed foods that have targeted as "bad" for us. Raw fruits and vegetables are also getting replaced with "healthier" bio-engineered (aka genetically modified) versions.

Now, as science advances and political groups are successfully changing our values regarding human life, we're now being told that the farm animals (where we get most of our protein) are bad for the environment. This opinion has now culminated into the invention of, what they playfully refer to as, "frankenfood".

First Test-Tube Grown Food To Be Served In London

We're all told to believe that these modern-day foods, created by man and his science, is good for both us and the planet. But, I found that the Bible seems to say something different and seems to warn us about man-made food.

1st Timothy, Chapter 4:
Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer.

The phrase, "require abstinence from foods that God created", seems very clear to me and foretells the replacement of natural foods (created by God) with "frankenfood" (created by man and science).

This is a very profound statement; for what other foods (apart from the foods God created) would Paul have meant in his statement? Where would he think food would come from, if it wasn't planted, grown and harvested from the earth (God's earth)? It seems clear to me that the only other foods, to which Paul was referring, was food created by someone other than God. In my mind, this has to mean food created by Satan (through man and science).

For me, this is one of the miracles of the Bible and is the foundation for my belief in our Lord, Jesus Christ. The prophecies found in the Bible have come true and continue to do so. If the apostle Paul, with guidance from God, has accurately foretold about the food we eat (or are not eating), what other prophecies in the Bible are going to be coming true in the near future?
