Orientation in the Ipernity Maze

Thursday July 12, 2007 at 09:20AM

Coming from Flickr - are you disoriented at Ipernity? Can't find any help yet? Let's compile it here!

I experience a fair amount of disorientation when I look foor various functions I came to appreciate at Flickr - and surprise surprise, they're here too. The only problem is to find them.

I intend to collect block diagrams of what function is where at Ipernity, so using Ipernity becomes easier (and maybe we can even point out usability gliches to the Ipernity programmers).

Does anybody already have suitable diagrams? Let's collect them here!

That’s one of my main reasons for staying with Flickr: I don’t like to use a service that is so messed up that you need block diagrams to find your way around it …

ich navigiere hier instinktiv und lasse mich stets neu überraschen. da das in unserem firmen-intranet genauso ist, betrachte ich es als gute übung für die arbeitswelt. ;-)

I'm beginning to feel comfortable in the ipernity maze, and have already settled into various habits when using the service. i'm not sure that diagrams would be helpful. I like the fact that you can customize your homepage by using your own photos as backgrounds and customizing colors. There are flickr features that I miss though. Like the notice when you have comments on your photos. I find that to be very helpful. I am still a citizen of both flickr and ipenity. I don't know that I'll make a complete change.

This is an ambitious site and it's still in beta. I'm pleased with it and ready to be patient.
