I'll be embarking on the biggest trip of my life (so far :-) on thursday: I'm visiting a conference on medical informatics in Brisbane next week, and of course there've got to be some holidays around it :-)

So I'll pass through Hongkong this weekend on my way to Australia, and then Brisbane is next - I'm looking forward to wonderful photo opportunities :-)

If any of you are located on the way or coincidentally travelling along the same lines - I'd love to organize/be part of an Ipernity meetup. We're looking towards an Ipernity Summit in Sydney around September 5th/6th - competing with the APEC summit happening there at the same time ;-). Stefanie aka se_kwien will be there, and so could you, if you're around :-)

Hongkong has been a fantastic (but humid) hotbed of activity on my stopover to Australia. Amazing colours and fragrances and beautiful sights from the skyline to the people thronging the busy street markets in Mong Kok. I've just uploaded a few pictures from my first day here yet, but more is to follow soon :-)

On our second day in Hong Kong we took a bus tour through the main island. Especially the Man Mo temple was a fantastic sight. The day closed with a thunderstorm which brought little rain, but a lot of lightning.
