Went to see the specialist today.

Summing up a whole stack of hi-tech tests,scans etc, it seems that the saga is far from over.

I have a malignant tumour on one side of my liver which was blocking one bile duct (which is now kept open with a stent). However the other half of the liver should have been able to cope with this, but was unable to - for unknown reasons.

In other words the 'non-tumour' side of my liver isn't functioning properly either. This rules out removing that part of the liver containing the tumour, since the remaining part doesn't seem to be working well enough to keep me alive by itself. There are a few options - I had another CT scan today & have another appointment on Monday to discuss...
