If it seems a bit quiet here, it's because I had an unexpected emergency hopitalisation with acute jaundice on Friday 26th July. One bile duct was blocked by a tumour in my liver ("almost certainly malignant"). I've spent the last 12 days in hospital having biopsies, CT scans & blood tests & other procedures. Now I'm back home and hardly even yellow, after having a stent placed in that bile duct, as well as various tests, biopsies etc. I'm grateful for the advances of keyhole surgery etc which minimised the pain

I'm now at home waiting for the biopsy result & subsequent diagnosis & treatment options. This was completely out of the blue & has turned my life up-side-down. But I'm still very keen to get out in the bush & take lots of photos!
