Just because of Bigoode's entry I list my equipment (which meets his needs for some unknown reason) ;-)
Nikon D50
Sigma 10-20mm/4-5.6 (cause there's so much world to shoot and so little place in the streets)
Nikon 50mm/1.4 (I love shooting with available light and don't like flashes)
Tamron 55-200mm/4-5.6 (if you can't get close enough)
Manfrotto monopod and ball head
BTW, has anyone tried the "new" Sigma 30mm/1.4 and/or the Nikon 35mm/2? I can't decide between these lenses and need one of them to fill the existing gap in my equipment.
Update: Today the Nikon 35mm/2 came. So there's no gap anymore ;-)

I own an EXA 1c (see de.wikipedia.org/wiki/EXA for pix), which I used when I was in school, but never again since then.

The Sigma is very sharp in the centre. The corners fall off a bit, especially at larger apertures, but nothing dramatic. The main problem seems to be that it's a bit of a gamble.. You never know if you get a good copy. On the other side it has HSM, which may be important if you need silent AF.
So.. I'd go for the Nikon, but the Sigma is very nice, too. Can't go wrong there, I guess. :)

I can also use the same filters with the 50/1.4 and the 35/2 :-)
