When I go out to take some photos and try to be creative, I always have to deal with other people`s idea of keeping up their rights.
No one cares, if somebody shoots photos with cell-phones, compact cams, iphones etc. and nobody feels bothered.
But as soon as you are carrying a slr cam, you are always asked, to put it away, leave the house or delete the photos, which you are not going to sell anyway because there is no demand for this kind of pictures.
And of course you must be a professional, because you are spending “lots of money” for your equipment.
For me, this way of thinking is perfect nonsens because there are more people spending more money for much more senseless things for non commercial use.
But fortunately there are wise people, who do not panic and allow shooting photos at their facilities, because they know, that it will be perfect additional publicity.
Those people, who do not think this way, must not wonder about poor public interest.......

SLR-Besitzer sind fast genau so oft "Knipser" wie Besitzer von Handycams, die auch gute "Lomo"-artige Fotos machen können - das kann sicher nicht pauschal eine Begründung für irgendwas sein.
Ich persönlich fühle mich auch (oder sogar viel eher!) von Handycams "bedroht" als von SLRs, gerade weil sie so unauffällig sind.
Wenn jemand wegen der relativ auffälligen SLR sieht, daß er von mir fotografiert werden soll, finde ich das natürlich wegen des dann nicht mehr natürlichen Fotos schade - wenn es aber darum geht, daß sich dabei herausstellt, daß derjenige nicht photographiert werden möchte, respektiere ich das sofort und lösche das Bild vor seinen/ihren Augen.
"Weise" Menschen wissen, daß ein Photo perfekte zusätzliche Publicitiy bringt? Öhm... wenn ich aber gar keine Publicity will? Dann wundere ich mich auch nicht über fehlendes öffentliches Interesse, denn das will ich ja nicht...
