And another seriously gorgeous day of warm sunshine with the odd shower of rain...ideal growing weather.
I went for blood tests this morning...don't mind in the slightest because the nurse at the surgery is excellent even when she takes half an armful of blood...and then I saw Doctor who solved the problem of my shaky hands...it's a side effect of one of the inhalers I use...answer is to lower the dosage slightly. So that's alright...and he said to 'phone the surgery tomorrow if oxygen man doesn't come today...which he hasn't...and they'll chase him up as a matter of urgency. He flinched when I told him my stats went down to 84%...said I ought to be dead. I beat a hasty retreat then in case he came out with anything else encouraging...
It was the May Day fair in town but it was so quiet I don't know why anyone bothered to go at all...just half a dozen horses and a scraggy donkey with over grown feet...a few stalls selling 'antiques' and several stuffed with cheap clothes and that was more or less it...
Time was when the streets would be full of horses, donkeys and ponies...and chickens, geese and ducks...baby pigs sometimes and always boxes of puppies...the 'pubs left their doors open and there'd have been music in all of them...dancing sometimes. Times change though, and occasionally it's almost as though no-one really wants to have fun anymore.
I did some sewing this afternoon with the door of my shed standing wide open to let the sun in...Himself pottered about and the dogs lay down on the path and fell asleep...it sounded...from the high pitched yowling...that my cats were beating next doors cat up but I didn't go and look...he can look after himself.
