That's another hospital visit over...the physio today, who is a jolly girl and very pleasant and easy to talk to. She's given me some more exercises to do and has suggested meditation to see if that will bring my anxiety levels down...
A hospital free week next week and then the following week it's another trip to see a different Consultant...
We had a look around Homebase...the sort of shop that sells stuff you didn't know you want until you see it on the shelf...and paint and floor tiles...the boring bits. It's an expensive place at the best of times and because we rarely go in there we're always taken aback by the prices...they sell that signature wallpaper which I dislike, but that's neither here nor there...€100 for one roll!! I'd be wanting to paper the entire house for that amount of money...
And you have to pay for those little sampler pots of paint...they always were free or just a few cent now they cost almost as much as a full size tin...
So we came away without so much as a paintbrush and meandered home again...the hedges and fields are green and the sun was out, shining on clumps of primroses and cowslips...with dandelions sprinkled along every verge...there is gorse on the hillsides and everybody's gardens are chockfull of daffodils and narcissi...
Such a beautiful time of the year...
