Another fun packed day in our little corner of Ireland...went back to the surgery to collect some more antibiotics and steroids...this chest infection has been a bugger to shift. Then away to the pharmacy where Patrick greeted me like a long lost friend and told me I had an impressive rattle...which I actually couldn't hear at all...probably so used to it now I pay it no heed.
Kitty's daughter is standing in the local council elections and she came canvassing...she's horribly enthusiastic. Politics'...local or national... bore me rigid so it was difficult not to yawn and look as fed up as I felt...Himself is as deaf as a post so he only heard one word in six and didn't have the faintest idea what she'd said...
There was a pair of Siskin's on the bird feeder outside the window...they came last year as well and I had to look them up never having seen them at close range before...and...that high pitched whistle I sometimes hear at night is apparently juvenile Long Eared Owls...there was a recording on the net which is exactly the same sound I've been hearing.
Himself drove down the street when we came home so I could see the frogs...but they've all gone...leaving great clumps of frogspawn. Might get just a few perhaps and see if they become proper little frogs...don't know what I'd put them in mind you...a washing up bowl would work though, with some stones for them to climb out of the water when they grow their legs...
When we came home Himself moved the bird bath from the front garden to near my shed...and the pig. The pig has been behind an ornamental willow in the front garden for years and he's so far out of sight we forget about him totally...so now he's by my shed as well. He's a very tasteful sort of a pig...he's not bright pink with a curly tail...just a plain sort of a pig.
I didn't do much actually...sort of looked busy without doing anything.
