Feeling a trifle below par today...I'll be honest...I've felt horrible actually. The minute the wind blows it snatches what little air is left in my lungs and runs away giggling inanely...
So I battled the elements and retreated into my shed where I'm still tackling the disorder underneath the workbench...it's all very well keeping stuff which might come in useful one day...the problem arises as to how and where to store it in the meantime.
I'm making storage files/boxes and decorating them in different patterned papers to keep anything which will stand upright inside...scrubbing away at the labels on glass jars for buttons and beads...and spraying empty cat and dog food tins with paint for pens and brushes etc. At least I'd be spraying them if the wind was to stop blowing for a few minutes...
Spray paint is lovely...it covers beautifully and usually only needs one coat...but I learned a salutary lesson when I happened to spray when there was a bit of a breeze...shan't do that again...
Once everything is neat and tidy I can begin sewing again, being in a muddle bothers me too much and then I can't concentrate. The stuff under the workbench keeps squeaking and pushing and shoving each other...it's an awful distraction.
Himself has almost finished moving paint tins and so on...he's cleared the gutter which was behind the wooden 'wall'...it stank actually, being chock a block with dead leaves from years gone past. Couldn't get to it before, so there was a bit of a build up.
When he came back from walking the dogs he announced there is another great pile of rubbish dumped at the entrance to the boreen...scattered everywhere of course because the foxes and badgers sort through it if there is anything smelling vaguely edible. It would be good to catch the dumpers in the act but they are too crafty to be caught...
Supper next...then I might retreat to the settee with a hot water bottle...
