It has been a dismal sort of a day...grey and gloomy with endless rain...so I shut myself in my shed and played with glue and paper...
And I'd totally forgotten to say thank you for deciding on 'The Last Door On The Right' as a name for my Etsy shop...I like it too, which is probably just as well considering. Building up some stock is taking time...but I'm not going to have too much variety at first...and if nothing sells, we can go to a car boot and try there.
YouTube came up trumps again with a host of videos about making stuff from newspapers and magazines...that's why I was playing today...to try some of the ideas out. Making paper beads is fiddly but they look really good...rolling newspaper up into a tube and then using them like Willow to weave simple baskets is seriously easy... I cheated with the painting and used some left over spray paint...but my paper flowers looked absymal and ended up in the bin. Shan't be selling anything like that though...
Made the mistake of looking underneath the work bench...seriously scary under there which is why I put a curtain up to hide everything...but I found some glossy paper I'd forgotten about which will make good beads...there are some advantages to being a pack rat and saving everything...just in case.
Himself braved the rain and took Millie and Bobby out for a walk...poor Nancy waits for him and then follows on...sometimes Tilly goes as well. I say poor Nancy because she looks so forlorn when Himself comes home...sometimes she sits in our little front garden or beside the front door. I do wish she wasn't left for hours and hours to her own devices...rather the way the children are come to think of it...
