New information takes ages to actually sink into my head...and stay there.
I had an idea this afternoon about selling stuff on Etsy...never going to make oodles of money but it'd give me a focus. So, I went through and had a look at what's involved and all the information has me bewildered. There's reams of it...
The rules and regulations as to what one can sell are straightforward and easy enough to understand...but then there are all those bits in small print about accepting credit card payments and how to go about actually promoting what you have for sale and I was beginning to feel my eyes glazing over and a headache coming on...
It would be sensible I think to print it all off so I can go back to the parts I'm not sure about without needing to wade through the sections I have managed to grasp...
Etsy obviously works and it's certainly popular...but some of the items for sale aren't very...well, they aren't very good. And some are horrendously expensive for what they are...though perhaps those items don't sell well.
So I'm dithering...there's no rush and no obligation of course and there is little point in going further until I have half a dozen or so items to sell...
What do you think? Do any of you have any experience of selling on-line? Pitfalls to look for perhaps?
