We went to Roscommon town in driving rain and it was seriously cold once we'd arrived and so I was in a bit of a grump...but Dunne's stores produced a pair of jeans that actually fitted over the top of leggings...I wear leggings underneath absolutely everything in the winter...
And I found some thin jumpers to wear in layers and a pair of track suit bottoms that aren't too foul...and a long-sleeved thermal vest...and some socks...bright stripey socks.
So that was all alright and not as bad as I'd thought it would be...
The shops are quiet and not many people about which is good news for shoppers who dislike crowds and bad news for the shops I suppose...
We'd taken Millie with us because she always comes everywhere and is as good as gold...today she had a tummy upset. A really, really bad tummy upset...she pooed absolutely everywhere and then was very sick...very, very sick actually.
Himself had cleaned her up as best as he could with some old rags he found in the boot but the car totally reeked...and as it was cold, having the windows open was grim but the smell was so awful that we suffered more or less in silence while Millie lay there fast asleep and oblivious...
We both sort of fell out of the car when we arrived back home and opened all the doors and windows then sprayed the inside with liberal amounts of Oust, which does actually work...luckily it had stopped raining so doors and windows have stayed wide open for the entire afternoon...
And Millie is grand...not a bother on her.
