Savannah and Princess have been grazing the long acre...on their own...unattended. Not an awfully good occurrence actually because Savannah is sixteen hands with feet the size of dinner plates and although she's mannered and hasn't any vices, people walking and cycling past are not to know that.
And Nancy spends most of her day looking mournfully through our gate...
So what to do...
I'll tell Wendy the horses have been out again but she sort of shrugs it off...they haven't enough grass on their small plot to keep the horses there...and Savannah simply walks straight through the electric tape with Princess behind her...
Himself is beginning to mutter about Nancy being left all day to her own devices...she doesn't have a collar either or a name tag and until everyone knows who she is and where she lives there is a danger she might be thought a stray...told Jason that even before they moved in but she is still without a collar...
The Estate Agent told Wendy he'd find her a field for sale along our street which is plain daft because there isn't one for sale and the cost would be horrendous and quite beyond their means...
I doubt Wendy has public liability for the horses...and people are only too ready to sue if they or their vehicles' are damaged by straying animals...used not to be so, but times have changed.
And she's seriously thinking about getting a third horse...
I suppose we just keep suggesting a collar for the dog and perhaps turn the current up for the electric tape...
