But everyone talks at once!
There was Jason talking about laptops and his job...Wendy about how fussy her horse is with hay...while Jack and Alex were looking at the bog bodies on my 'putor and asking me endless questions about them and Caitlin was in the kitchen making tea for everyone...but they don't stop for a second...all those conversations going on at once had my head in a spin...
Actually I might keep Caitlin...she's rising thirteen and is horribly efficient. Made everyone tea without a bother on her, bearing in mind she's not used to where I keep everything...she just opened cupboards and put the kettle on and produced piping hot mugs in no time at all...
Nancy came indoors as well, which infuriated Eilis and made her bark and snap her teeth, so in the end the poor dog slunk out and sat by the gate waiting to go home again...
I did suggest to the boys they might like to go to Dublin to see the bog bodies and I swear Jack's eyes grew enormous at the thought...they don't get much attention really with Wendy and Jason working all the hours they can...which is probably why they all talk at once about totally different subjects...
After Caitlin had made the tea she sat and read her new library book...very self-possessed, but it could just be she can't get a word in edgeways and has given up trying.
Anyway...they'd be thrilled to bits to have the caravan for Jamie to live in...Jason looked at the hole in the floor and said he'd mend it, no problem. We'd much rather someone had some use out of it because otherwise it'd need to go to the scrap man just to get it out of our way...we use it as a place to put 'stuff' when Teresa and Reuben aren't here...then we have to clear it all out before they come to stay. Just hope they decide on a shed from Neil after all this...
They've all gone home...all of a few hundred yards down the road...and peace reigns once more.
