The new shed is coming tomorrow afternoon...he's making it today and I've asked him would he put a long workbench down one side and a stable door...so he is going to do both and put a bit of an overhang on the roof at the front so I can have hanging baskets...actually, I'd have rather liked a veranda at the front but it would have added a lot to the cost and it's something which could be added later when I win the Lotto.
When I 'phoned Neil last evening and said I'd like to order a shed please, and he said if I was in on Wednesday afternoon he'd bring it then, I thought he was joking...
So Himself has been levelling off the ground and putting the concrete blocks in place for it to stand on...it's going behind the caravan, next to the end wall of the old cottage which was turned into a pigpen...not right up against the wall of course. That wall is covered in ivy so I'm going to put a couple of bird nesting boxes there...
The cats never come into the yard so any nesting or feeding birds are perfectly safe...
Don't know what's happening about the caravan yet...Reuben said to sell it which I thought plain daft...just who would want to pay money for it...so we'll ask Jason and Wendy if they'd like it to put Jamie in...it might just about survive being towed down as far as their cottage without falling to bits...it's only a few hundred yards.
Adam and Anna are back at their cottage further down the road...Willies Cottage as was. They're only going to be there for about ten days and then they're hoping to move over after Christmas...Adam will have all my bedding plant and seed trays so that'll save throwing them away...he was wrestling with rolls of insulation in the roof space yesterday while Anna was painting the front door bright yellow. Willies cottage is smaller than Annie's...just like ours really but with a bit bigger kitchen and three rooms at the front...their front door opens directly into the sitting room as well...but it isn't on a Faerie path!
It is lovely to see those two old places with smoke coming out of the chimneys and the lights on...makes our tiny village come alive...especially as they are young people...well, everyone seems to be younger than us actually but you know what I mean...
