Haven't done much today 'cos my nose is stuffed up and my heads thumping and the laptop has been plain feckin' awful...all my bookmarks have traipsed off on holidays without so much as a by your leave...it keeps stopping to update stuff...and now ipernity is being nasty to me and won't let me put any paragraphs in and it's underlining every word it doesn't care for in bright red when it doesn't usually bother. I played about with glue and paper in my workroom...had the little fire going so it was warm...and made some file containers out of old cereal packets. They don't look like empty Cornflake boxes once they're finished and are good for storing all manner of stuff...mostly magazines in my case. We're back onto porridge for breakfast now so I had to use a couple of dog biscuit boxes which smell slightly meaty...but I couldn't smell them 'cos of my blocked up nose so that was alright. Would make me gag a bit otherwise...Millie and Eilis had a look in the corners for any lurking mice then fell asleep on their beds in front of the fire...their beds being old pillows. Nothing fancy. We watched University Challenge last night and the teams were dreadful...much older than the usual students and with the personalities of dead goldfish...I was shouting at them for most of the half-hour to wake their ideas up and think for heavens sakes...we answered loads of the questions correctly so it can't have been difficult...mind you, if there is a question about anything to do with maths, I keep my head down and do another couple of cross-stitches and pretend I haven't heard the question in the first place...Ancestry didn't throw up any surprises today...a few more Vikings killed in battles I'd never heard of before, but no more lady poisoners as yet. It's taking ages to wade my way through the 700-1000 period, though I do go back to the 1800's every so often. Better peel some potatoes before I take root in my chair...
