A much better day today...I did resort to the bottle of red last night after a day spent struggling...as one does...but woke this morning to snow...now gone thankfully and with a renewed determination to get my workroom finished.

Poor old Dinky has managed to avoid peeing on the floor today...she staggered outside and sank down with a sigh of relief on the stones. It must be awful to be an old dog and lose control of your bodily functions...she's a funny old thing really...but she was always clean in the house until recently. Both Dinky and Eli are slowly going downhill...they can't walk very well and both of them have occasional accidents and they both spend long hours fast asleep...they are both still eating their supper with gusto and they both still have plenty to drink. There will come a time when we have to make that dreadful decision to take them to the vet or just let nature take its course.

I filled in more holes and slapped paint on every available surface this morning...it's beginning to look more like a proper craft room and a lot less like a shed...

Once it's finished I'm going to treat myself to some more fabric...have projects lined up and simply have to have some new material to complete them. And I do have an alarming stash already but it isn't quite right for what I have planned...that's my excuse anyway.

Mind you I've not even been making the latest rag rug...come nine o'clock I'm so knackered I go to bed and read rubbish for an hour before falling asleep.

Last night we watched one of those police programmes where the police have ultra fast cars to chase the bad guys...and I decided...not for the first time...that I'd have to stuff my hands into my pockets if I were a policeman and caught up with those incredibly idiotic people who drive while drunk out of their tiny minds...the temptation to give them a sharp smack...

I've discovered if I go to Amazon.UK.com rather than the American Amazon I can get much better books for just a small amount of money and they don't...so far...tell me I can't have the book I've chosen 'cos I live in the backwoods of Ireland.

Then Gracie told me how to print my photos off...try right clicking she said...and lo and behold it feckin' works when I've been struggling for days trying to work out how to do it...

So, with photos sorted and trashy thrillers a plenty and the prospect of a glass or two...new fabric to gloat over and room almost done...what's to grumble about?
