St. Baldricks Foundation

Monday April 14, 2008 at 01:07AM

Today I got to experience something I'll never forget. I volunteered to take photo's for the St.Baldricks Foundation Fund raiser for childhood cancer research. Family members, friends and even strangers donated their time, money and about 25 brave souls decided to give up their hair to support these children as they face the fight of their lives. It was amazing!

St. Baldrick's is the world's largest volunteer driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. Thousands of volunteers shave their heads in solidarity with children fighting cancer. Head shavings are held in 46 U.S. states and 13 countries. Young Cancer patients and survivors get to see how many people care and with the 12.8 million dollars raised in 2007 alone researchers are able to continue to help find cures.....I have added an album of some of the shots I got today. It is days like these that make you thankful for all the blessings you have and when I think I have it rough all I have to do is take a look at these faces of bravery and love.

Hi!
I work for the St. Baldrick's Foundation and when was really excited to come across your photos from the event! They are really great! Would you mind if we used them for one or more of our publication materials?

Thanks!

thank you so much. It was an honor to do this....these kids are amazing. And the families are even stronger. I'm sorry your mom had to experience what she did. My mom was a breast cancer survivor but past from other ailments. I'm interested in what you come up with.
