Hallo,

wir nutzten den Pfingsmontag für einen kurzen Besuch bei den Beelitz-Heilstätten in der Nähe von Potsdam. Berichte und Fotos von anderen versprachen einen interessanten Nachmittag und bei sonnigen Wetter ging es dann los. Dort angekommen wanderten wir für dieses Mal nur im Bereich C umher und sahen somit nur rund 1/4 der gesamten Anlage. Die Heilstätten sind wirklich beeindruckend und der Fotoapparat lief in diesen ca. 2-3h heiß. Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Trip dorthin um den Rest des Geländes zu erkunden.

Hello,

we used the Whit Monday for a short visit at the Beelitz-Heilstätten near Potsdam. Reports and photos by others promised an interesting afternoon and with sunny weather ahead we began our journey. Arriving at the location we wandered around this time only in Area C and therefore saw just 1/4 of the whole area. The Heilstätten are really impressive and the digicam ran hot in these 2-3 hours. I'm already looking forward to our next trip to Beelitz to discover the rest of the compound.

Hallo,
wir nutzten den sonnigen Sonntag für einen kurzen Besuch im Mittelalter Museumsdorf Düppel am Rand von Berlin. Auf dem Gelände herrschte eine angenehme Ruhe und es war sehr entspannend. Das Dorf selbst wird auf freiwilliger Basis betrieben, d.h. einige Leute bauen und leben dort die Zeit von vor 800 Jahren nach und zeigen wie sich das Leben damals abspielte. Wir wollen dort nocheinmal in Ruhe hin und z.B. eine Führung oder dergleichen mitmachen.

Hello,
we used the sunny sunday for a short visit at the middle-ages open-air museum Düppel on the outskirts of Berlin. Inside the area was a pleasant calm and it was very relaxing. The village itself is managed by people on a voluntarily basis, that means they live the time from 800 years ago and show visitors how lifes went on in this time. We want to go there again and take a guided tour or something similar.

Am 2. Mai waren wir in Prenzlauer Berg um die Kastanienallee ("Castingallee") and haben immer wieder einmal in die Hinterhöfe geschaut um noch unverputzte Reste jenseits der Yuppiekultur zu finden. Und siehe da, noch gibt es einige wenige Kleinode wo die Höfe eben nicht glattgeleckt und in Bonbonfarben gestrichen sind und die noch lebendiger wirken.
Nebenbei haben wir uns das alte Stadtbad in Oderberger Straße angeschaut, nachdem uns der interessante Turm vom Gebäude auffiel.

On mai 2nd we were in Prenzlauer Berg (district of berlin) around the Kastanienallee ("Casting-Alley") and looked once again in the backyards to find unrendered remains beyond the yuppie culture. And behold, there are still some few nuggets where the backyards aren't clean and slick and colored in candy colors and who feel alive.
Along the way the took a look at the old city bath in the Oderberger Straße, after we noticed the interesting tower of the building.

Die letzten Tage habe ich das sonnige Wetter genutzt um immer wieder einmal Fotos in der Nachbarschaft zu schießen. Blicke in Hinterhöfe oder auch mal nach oben erschließen einem auch mal andere Sichten im immer glattgeleckteren Kiez.

In the last days I used the sunny weather to shoot again some photos around the neighborhood. Views in backyards or even to the sky open different views than usual in a more and more gentrificated neighborhood.

Heute gings zum Osterfest ins Kloster Chorin nach Brandenburg. Die Sonne lachte und so auch wir. Nach einer wilden Kopfsteinpflasterwaldwegfahrt kamen wir schließlich an. Am Parkplatz war dann erstmal Picknick auf dem Rasen zwischen den Autos angesagt und danach gings frisch gestärkt die 800m zum Kloster. Dort war allerhand Publikumsverkehr und ein jeder knipste mal hier mal dort. Nach ungefähr 3 Stunden war es auch schon wieder Zeit für die Rückfahrt. Insgesamt ein schöner Tag in der Natur und ein guter Einstieg in den kommenden Sommer.

Today we went to the Easter festival to Monastery Chorin in Brandenburg. The sun was laughing und we as well. After a wild cobblestoneforesttracktour we finally arrived. At first we made a picknick on the green between the cars at the parking area and after that we went the 800m to the monastery. There was quite alot of foot traffic and everyone took photos from here and there. After nearly 3 hours it was time for the backjourney already. Afterall a nice day in the nature and a good entry into the coming summer.

Bei einem Spaziergang im Treptower Park fiel mir von weitem eine glänzende Fläche auf. Beim näherkommen stellte es sich als Haus mit spezieller Fassade heraus. Das komplette Haus hat eine spiegelnde Oberfläche und ist möglicherweise ein Energiesparhaus oder so ähnlich. Vielleicht weiß ja jemand mehr?

On a walk through Treptower Park I noticed a shiny area form the distance. Approaching the object, it was a house with a special front. The complete house has a reflective surface and is probably an energy-saving house or something like that. Perhaps someone nows more?

Spiegelwand / Mirror Wall

Da ich draußen etwas zu erledigen hatte, bin ich heute gleich mal ein paar Meter weiter gelaufen und habe in der Dämmerung ein paar Schnappschüsse vom Frankfurter Tor und Bersarinplatz gemacht. Unterwegs vorbei am neuen Nazi-Laden Thor Steinar in der Petersburger Straße, deren Schaufenster nicht umsonst mit Rolläden zu war (Glasbruch vor ein paar Tagen). Samstag ist Demo gegen den Laden, mal sehen wie lange er da bleibt.

Because I had to run some errands I took the opportunity to walk a bit further and so I took some shots in the dawn of Frankfurter Tor and Bersarinplatz. On my way I came across the new neonazi shop "Thor Steinar" in Petersburger Straße, whose shop windows were closed with shutters not without reasons (breakage of glass some days ago). Saturday there will be a demonstration against the shop, lets see how long it stays.

Hallo Ihr da draußen!

So..mal das Blog aus dem laaaaaaangen Winterschlaf reissen

Heute kam ich nicht mehr umher eines der letzten Häuser in Berlin/Friedrichshain zu fotografieren, welches noch unverputzt und noch lebendig aussieht. Leider geht es auch damit in Kürze vorbei und es ein neues langweiliges beliebig, auswechselbares und saniertes Haus entsteht.

Schade drum!

Today I couldn't resist anymore to shoot one of the last houses in Berlin/Friedrichhain which is still unrendered and looks alive. Unfortunately it won't last much longer and a new boring, exchangeable and redecorated house emerges.

this afternoon we visited a cemetery nearby and walked around in it for 2-3 hours and took photos ect. I've uploaded 4 pics. The cemetary had some older parts with very old graves..

I walked for like an hour around in the neighbourhood and took some photos of old and new stuff..always amazing how many nice things you can see on the walls..

I'm in the middle of the transfer of all my photos from flickr to ipernity. This will take some time..so for the time being titles, decriptions, tags, geotags ect. will be missing until I have uploaded all stuff..
