....As a CPA with financial markets experience, i consider myself to be a saavy stock, bond, and currency trader and investor....and, THANKFULLY, i have NOT owned any stocks during the past 5 months, EXPECTING TROUBLE....BUT I NEVER EXPECTED THE STORM WE ARE CURRENTLY WITNESSING....my heart BREAKS for the pain many are feeling at this time, as they watch the value of their portfolios plummet....

....currently watching CNBC....globally, stocks are dropping to levels not seen in 10+ years....HOW IS THIS AFFECTING YOU???....WHEN DO YOU FEEL THIS GLOBAL DECLINE WILL END???....HOW SERIOUS WILL IT ULTIMATELY BECOME???

....Watching the debate this evening, as i compose this blog, i wonder....why does McCain ASSUME that i am one of his "FRIENDS" ???....if he REALLY considered me to be his FRIEND, he would not have nominated an unqualified candidate as his VICE-PRESIDENT, potentially placing this country at even GREATER RISK than it currently faces....

....and WHY does McCain "lovingly" mention the name of the #1 Democratic Party "turn-coat"....Senator Joseph Lieberman (Independent-Connecticut) ???....

....and WHY did McCain give President Bush that infamous KISS ON THE CHEEK???....and vote "along with Bush" over 90 per cent of the time ???

....A "FRIEND" OF MINE WOULD NOT DARE DO THOSE THINGS....SO, PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME "FRIEND"....

....As a Democrat, i am PRO-CHOICE....BUT, i respect the position of PRO-LIFERS, even though i believe stem-cell research is the MOST IMPORTANT scientific research that we, as a society, can presently undertake....HOWEVER, I FIND IT TOTALLY INDEFENSIBLE, that ANYONE, INCLUDING SARAH PALIN, COULD DENY A SAFE and LEGAL ABORTION TO A VICTIM OF RAPE and / or INCEST....THAT ABORTION STANCE JUST MAKES ME WANT TO VOMIT....IN OTHER WORDS...."LET'S RE-VICTIMIZE the VICTIM"....AND YOU CONSIDER YOURSELVES TO BE THE "COMPASSIONATE" ONES???....

I HAVE MANY OTHER INSTANCES I COULD HAVE HIGHLIGHTED IN THIS THREAD....I WONDER IF SOME PEOPLE ARE BEGINNING TO "SNAP" DUE TO THE FINANCIAL STRESS THEY ARE FEELING....THAT MAY EXPLAIN A LARGE PORTION OF THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR....

McCain has been diagnosed with invasive melanoma, which could recurr at any time, and be debilitating or fatal. An open letter from doctors across the country:

"John McCain has not released his medical records to the public. McCain is 72 years old, and has been diagnosed with invasive melanoma. In May of this year a small group of selected reporters were allowed to review 1,173 pages of McCain's medical records and were allowed only three hours to do so. John McCain's health is an issue of profound importance. We call on John McCain to issue a full, public disclosure of all of all his medical records, available for the media and members of the general public to review."

Cindy... a scary issue... especially considering an incompetent Palin is the VP candidate.

Pelosi, Kerry May Share Investor Pain as AIG Stakes Evaporate

Sept. 19 (Bloomberg) -- The market storm that brought down Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., American International Group Inc. and other pillars of U.S. finance may have also blown holes in the portfolios of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senator John Kerry and more than 50 other members of Congress.

Pelosi, in her most recent financial disclosure form, reported that her husband owned between $250,000 and $500,000 of stock in AIG, which ceded majority control to the U.S. government this week in exchange for $85 billion of loans.

Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, disclosed that his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, had more than $2 million of AIG stock at the end of 2007, when shares were worth $58.30. AIG has fallen 85 percent this week to close yesterday at $2.69. The lawmakers' aides didn't respond to calls seeking comment.

Altogether, 56 senators and representatives had stakes in AIG, Lehman, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Bear Stearns Cos. or IndyMac Bancorp Inc. -- some of the biggest casualties of the market bloodbath -- according to the Center for Responsive Politics. The most recent annual disclosure filings list investments as of Dec. 31, 2007, and reveal the size of holdings only within a range of values. Lawmakers may have sold shares since then.

There is no disputing the fact that AMERICA'S image around the world has SERIOUSLY deteriorated over the past 8 years....What do you feel the US must do....under it's new, incoming president....to remedy this depressing situation??? I ask this, because i feel that ALL "THINKING" AMERICANS share my concern....OR SHOULD....

....that is my conclusion regarding the Republican party in the upcoming US presidential election....and many elections in the past, as well....as a matter of fact, Republicans are the MASTERS of this exact strategy....and the uninformed public ALWAYS seems to fall for it....usually, though not always, the Republicans will use a diversionary tactic as a means of de-emphasizing the really IMPORTANT issues of the campaign....the ridiculous "lipstick on a pig" controversy is their current "diversionary tactic"....so as to de-emphasize the Iraq War, health care, the lousy econony, etc....all issues on which the Republicans are very vulnerable....

....i really hate to do this to all of you....u must think that CINDY is ALWAYS bitchy, and complaining about something....IT MUST ALWAYS BE HER "TIME OF THE MONTH"....i'm really NOT like that at all....it's just that many things bug me, and it's difficult NOT to complain....

....i really DETEST television commercials in which CHILDREN play the role of ADULTS....for example, there is one commercial that i see 5 times a day, in which this 8-year-old boy gives detailed INVESTMENT ADVICE concerning retirement to his parents, and speaks as though he is an ADULT, and they are uninformed morons....this "boy" quotes statistics regarding retirement as though he is a registered investment advisor, emphasizing to his parents the importance of RETIREMENT PLANNING....

....what upsets me about this type of commercial is that IT IS SOOOO PHONY, and that the ADULTS watching are being "SPOKEN DOWN TO" as though they are merely "MORONS"....I REALLY, REALLY DISLIKE THIS TYPE OF ADVERTISING APPROACH ....BET I"M NOT ALONE....
