i've been cut off the internet in my old home (planned to be in my new house by now... well, so much for plans). so i bought a umts-stick which works pretty well with umts.
but sometimes umts is not available, especially here. if you are afraid of all all this electromagnetic pollution crap, this place might be your answer. as long as you don't need a mobile phone, that is. or wireless lan. or fm radio. and you have to love cars and trains and NOISE, because that's what you'll get right in front of the flat's windows in abundance. sometimes i wouldn't even notice the nosy neighbours regularly peeping into my rooms because i'd be distracted by the glasses in my cupboards chiming away for some big engine rumbling by, the earth trembling in awe and the walls shaking in tune.
where was i? WHAT? a, right. so i have to use edge every now and then, and tell you what: this really, really sucks big time. whoever tells you that edge is nearly as good as umts: forget it. some people might try to sell you some gadget with last decade's technology, telling you that it would be just as well as this decade's technology because some big company printed its name on the shiny surface.
they are liars. surfing is no fun if you have delivery- instead of response times.
end of rant.
anybody know why i can't log into ipernity using firefox? page goes dark as it is suposed to do, but no login screen shows up. maybe it's time to stick with opera for a while.
