I just need a hug...

Tuesday May 12, 2009 at 04:02PM

The thing is that for some really good reason probably... I lost 400 pictures from my cameras memory card in one blink of an eye. The sadest thing happened so quickly that I could hardly believe it at first. And I still can't really accept the fact.

I so hope that at least some of it is possible to restore... But I guess we'll see. Since I don't really know myself how to do that... And no one else really cares that much... And I think all the Experts are really boring poeple. Because they don't value what I really care about enough.

*sigh*

Poor girl, I feel with you. I lost a HD with 30gb and a lot of original PS (PSD) files some years ago. My cat jumped on the power switch while it was running. A huge hug from Holland.

Haa - tell me about it. I have noticed that people tend to experience this type of things around me. When I got back and started complaining to a friend, she said that she had her laptop stolen - also lost lots of pictures this way...

A big hug from me. What happened with your memory card. Usually when you just formatted it, all the pictures are still there, as long as you don't take any new pictures. Sometimes there are special programs from the manufacturers: for example see www.lexar.com/software/image_rescue3.html

the situation is improved btw :) After I got it back from specialists I no longer trust we have managed to restore 160 pix out of 400 - which imo is much much better than nothing.

I don't exactly know what happened to it. Looks like it is just a bad card. I mean most of other pictures the recovery program found look like puzzle put together all wrong. Some pictures are even quite amuzing this way :) .

Ah, yes - the Specialist said the library is messed up and pictures are not in a folder where they should be. I don't know...

Miserable losing things like that. I've never lost pictures from a camera, but twice hard discs have died on me. Consequence: obsessive and fanatical about backing up nowadays!
