"Hello you, I'm an admin of the group "Blah-Blah-images". It would be great if you would add this doc to our group. Thank you !"
this means, that the inviting person is not really interested in your pic... he doesn't comment, not even a few words... he just invites as many people as possible for his senseless group, where he brushes up his poor ego as a moderator...
I think this is a bad selfish behaviour without any manners... and in future I will block every person who will send me such a prefabricated blah-blah invitation !!!

Maybe we should start a Grumpy Group? Where us old grouches can gripe about things that annoy us and discuss how much better things were when we were young. After all, there was none of this fancy schmancy internet back then. No, if we wanted to talk to people in Germany back then, we had to actually go to Germany! And there were no express trains either!
Well, actually I do think there were express trains when I was a kid. And they were on schedule too!
Just wanted to say that the robotic group invites bother me too. I really don't know what to do about them, and since I often ignore invites no matter what (don't notice them till they are 3 months old) I figure that's the best policy.

hello :)
"I would like to invite you to the group "selfportraits"
it would be fine if you want to join :)
thank you !"

Thanks for the post.
Although I don't find as much time as I'd love to during week- days, I still try to comment personally, without "copy&paste"- phrases- or at least fave the pic and comment later on.
The invitations are just ridiculous and I wish there was an button to decide wether I'd like to get group invitations or not....
*Have a great day*

Among those groups are also groups you do not think about it before. These groups do not run without invitations. And they make sence.
Shure an Admin can write you a personal invitation. In addition i do not often seek for group that may fit for a single picture. But do not forget some members never put a picture in a group (Also do not know how it works).
On the opposide especialy groups with invided pictures are of high interest not only for the Groupmembers.
Please do not think in the way you write on top; please think after each invitation: do i agree and makes it sence to put it in there. But I also think it is good to block some crazy invisitors. Thanks Ulrich

I am an admin for periodicity and lines and curves, because I personally like images with those themes. I know others do too because they tell me so. I am always on the look-out for images with those themes and don't have the time to both invite *and* comment on every photo. As far as my ego is concerned, I started those groups because they did not exist and I wanted to see collections of photos with those elements, not to flatter my ego.
So I hope you will rethink the opinion you expressed.
